Burnout is a syndrome conceptualized as resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed. Burnout is a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by excessive and prolonged stress. It occurs when you feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, and unable to meet constant demands.

Burnout has a massive negative impact on your physical and mental health. Whether you experience back pain, depression, heart problems, obesity, or just get the flu a lot, you need to consider the role your work is playing in your health. You have to change your habits or decide if your work deserves the consequences.
